With no traffic the drive is shorter: a route that takes 70 minutes by day can be done in 45 at night. That is the good side of the night.
The hard side is that the alternatives disappear. Metro and Marmaray services pause, bus intervals stretch out. Without a booking only one option remains, and in that option the price is set by negotiation.
